Family-Run Since 1984
Founded in 1984 by Jim Ayre, our current Managing Director’s father, Alkmonton Tractors Ltd has grown from a small family operation into a trusted supplier of agricultural machinery, parts and services across Derbyshire. Over nearly four decades, the business has earned a strong reputation for reliability, practical knowledge and personal service.
Expanding Our Services
Supporting the Local Community
As several local garages closed in 2008, we made alterations to our premises to become VOSA Class 4 approved MOT testers. This expansion allowed us to continue supporting our rural community with accessible vehicle testing, servicing and repairs. From tractor repairs to MOTs, hydraulic work and on-site service calls, our team delivers dependable solutions for farms, contractors and rural businesses.
Main Dealer Status
Becoming a CLAAS & KIOTI Dealer
In late 2017, we began upgrading our premises as we became main dealers for CLAAS and more recently authorised suppliers of KIOTI machinery. This investment allowed us to offer both new and used equipment from modern facilities, backed by experienced technical support and a well-stocked parts department.
Alkmonton Tractors has remained a family-run business for nearly 40 years, built on practical expertise and a commitment to local farms and contractors. Our authorised dealership status, fully equipped service facilities and knowledgeable team ensure that customers receive reliable advice, fast repairs and genuine parts whenever they are needed.
